The Lobby and Parking Lot of the Riverdale Police Department are available to the public as a place to conduct transactions from online buying and selling websites, such as Craigslist, Ebay or OfferUp. Citizens can meet in person in the Exchange Location to buy or sell a product. This promotes a safe environment to conduct business, and will reduce the likelihood of theft, robbery or violence. Things You Need to Know:
  • When you enter the lobby of the Police Department to complete a transaction, please inform a member of the Records Division at the window why you are there.
  • Riverdale Police Department personnel are prohibited from assisting in the transaction.

Prohibited items:

  • Transactions related to weapons of any kind will not be allowed at the Riverdale Police Department
  • Large items and gas driven machines, such as lawn mowers or snow blowers, are strictly prohibited from being brought into the lobby. The Police Department’s parking lot shall be used for the exchange of these items.
  • Gasoline or hazardous materials will not be allowed at the Riverdale Police Department
